  Be Ready for Bad Weather

Whilst it is currently business as usual for Edinburgh Napier, below is some useful advice if bad weather does strike the city and travel difficulties affects people’s ability to get to our buildings.
Please do make sure that you take the time to read this, as we want to make sure that everyone is as prepared as possible.

Make sure you can access the University’s IT services from home before the bad weather strikes.

To connect to the University network all you need is a PC or a laptop with an internet connection. Read our Guidance on connecting to University IT services, which will show you how to:
Depending on your needs, this may require you to make some small changes on your computer. Make sure you do this before you are stuck at home due to the bad weather.
Please remember that you can access myNapier from home if you cannot reach the campus.
 
To enable you to work from home, we provide you with the opportunity to borrow laptops or purchase discounted software, as well as access to free anti-virus and anti-spyware software. Please visit Your IT Services page for more information.​
In the event of bad weather and lectures being cancelled, Moodle will be used to support revision and assessment. In particular, academic staff will seek to ensure that all lecture notes, learning and revision materials are available on Moodle.
