  Cancelled Classes Updates

Updates - University Campuses to re-open

All three campuses, including ENGAGE Sports Centre, will re-open tomorrow (Monday 5 March) and teaching will resume.

All three campuses, including the libraries, are open until 4pm today (Sunday 4 March). The JKCC and zone 1 of the Merchiston library will be open 24 hours. The music studios at Merchiston will also be open on the same restricted access basis, 9- 4pm.

Please note that over this weekend there will only be limited staffing in the libraries, JKCC and on campus so it is likely that a full range of services will not be available. All students will be required to present their student ID card to gain access to facilities.

We wish to reassure all students that they will not be disadvantaged academically by the adverse weather. We will make any necessary alternative arrangements for assessments and coursework deadlines when the campuses re-open. Library books automatically renew unless on recall. Most students' library returns will be unaffected, but we will make sure there are no library fines incurred due to the closures and lack of access to campus.

If it is unsafe for you to travel, particularly if you live a distance away from the campuses, please do not travel. We do have services to enable students to work at home so please use these and only come to campus if it is essential.

Our thanks to all staff and students for their support during a very challenging time and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

The Be Ready for Bad Weather' page on myNapier provides further information and as always, keep up to date with our Twitter and Facebook.
