Chancellor Talk Series - 'The law, democracy and fundamental rights'29/11/2017 18:0029/11/2017 21:00

Edinburgh Napier University is delighted to host an evening with Lord Advocate, James Wolffe QC, as part of the Chancellor Talk Series.

As Lord Advocate, James Wolffe QC is the Scottish Government's senior law officer and head of the system of prosecution in Scotland. In the course of his career as an advocate, he has argued important cases in court about human rights and constitutional law, including, last year, the Article 50 "Brexit" case in the UK Supreme Court. He has also prosecuted serious criminal cases. He will draw on his professional experience to talk about the foundations of a free society, entitled 'The law, democracy and fundamental rights'.
