 Coming from College

Each year, around a thousand students come from college to study at Edinburgh Napier, entering into first, second, third and fourth year of degree courses.  

​We recognise that there may be unique challenges that can arise when entering university from college, especially if you are entering at an advanced level. 

To help you get the best possible start at university the Widening Participation team are here to help you through the transition from college to university. We provide support to students while they are still in college and continue to provide support once students start at Edinburgh Napier.​​​​​

How we can help

Widening Participation Officers

We have a dedicated team of Widening Participation Officer to help support and advise you. Each Widening Participation Officer has responsibility for certain subject areas. To find out who your Widening Participation Officer is, email wideningaccess@napier.ac.uk

Individual Support

We offer one-to-one appointments that provide the opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns in a confidential and impartial environment. Please contact us at wideningaccess@napier.ac.uk to make an appointment.

Student Centre Drop-in's

The Widening Participation Team will be in the Student Centre at Merchiston every Monday and Wednesday 10am -  2pm (term-time only).  If you have anything you would like to discuss, or any concerns, drop-in to see us, or contact us ahead of time to book an appointment. 

Please use the electronic check in system for all appointments and if you don’t have an appointment please select the “Drop in” option.
