ENU scholarships, bursaries and additional funding
Each year, we receive funding from a variety of different sources to support students through scholarships and grants. The eligibility criteria is decided in conjunction with the benefactors and policy guidelines for each fund.
The kind of funding available to you will depend on your nationality, where you currently live, your personal circumstances and the type of course you're studying.

UK students (excluding nurses)
- Access bursary
- Childcare fund
- Coming from college bursary
- Discretionary fund
- ENU care experienced bursary
- Merit bursary
You can apply for most of these funds through our online Find-a-fund system, with the exception of the Discretionary fund, which you should apply for through the eVision portal.
UK nursing students
You can apply for these funds through our online Find-a-fund system.

Postgraduate students
Postgraduate research students can apply for the Doctoral College Student Hardship Fund through our online Find-a-fund system.

Discretionary fund
If you’re in financial difficulty, you can apply for funding to help you with living costs, accommodation, essential course costs and in some circumstances, childcare costs.
Childcare fund
Nursing and midwifery discretionary fund
The Nursing and Midwifery Discretionary Fund is allocated by Scottish ministers and is intended to help eligible students who are in financial difficulty to attend their programme of study.
