Converge 2026 - Exclusive information session
Converge, Scotland’s flagship programme for university-based entrepreneurs, is now open for 2026, and Edinburgh Napier colleagues are invited to discover how far their innovation could go.
To help you explore what’s possible, Converge will host an exclusive online information session for ENU staff and students at 12pm on Friday 20 March 2026. This tailored session will walk you through the programme, the application process, and the benefits of taking part.

From ENU research to real-world impact
Edinburgh Napier innovators have a strong track record of success with Converge, including:
- Mercel, co-founded by Dr Mark Dorris, transforms seaweed-derived nanomaterials into sustainable alternatives to synthetic plastics, demonstrating how breakthrough research can become tangible societal impact.
- LU Innovations, founded by ENU alumna Erin Reid, designs practical menstrual care products for outdoor environments, removing barriers for menstruators exploring the outdoors.
- LastingAsset, an ENU spin-out, tackles the growing threat of impersonation and phone-based fraud using advanced cryptography and anti-spoofing technologies.
These teams started with an idea. Converge helped them turn it into something bigger. Read more in our RIE blog.
