Wellbeing session: sexual safety and breath play
Come along for an open, honest and judgement-free conversation led by NHS practitioners in collaboration with Fearless Edinburgh Partnership and hosted as part of ENU's commitments to tackling gender-based violence.
We'll cover a range of topics, including:
- Sexual trends & culture: how social media and pornography can shape what we expect from sex
- Consent & communication: boundaries, choices and checking in
- 'Breath play' and non-fatal strangulation: what it means, where it can occur, and why understanding the risks matters
- Looking after ourselves and each other: recognising concerns and knowing where to find support
The event takes place online on Wednesday 21 October, 4-5pm, and will be led by specialist practitioners from NHS Lothian Sexual and Reproductive Health Services and East Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership.
Students aged 16+ are welcome to join the conversation on Microsoft Teams – you don’t need to have your camera on.
