Win £300 by taking part in our HiddENU Figures competition
Are you a creative storyteller? Do you want to shine a light on someone with Global Majority heritage who has made a positive impact? Take part in our competition for the chance to win a £300 prize!
Our HiddENU Figures competition invites students, staff and alumni to help showcase Global Majority role models connected to our university and local community.
The term Global Majority is commonly used to describe people who are Black, Asian, mixed heritage or from other racially minoritised ethnic backgrounds who collectively make up most of the world's population.
We're looking for creative submissions that tell the story of people who have made a positive impact and have a genuine link to Edinburgh Napier. This could be a former or current student, a member of staff, an honorary graduate, or someone connected to the communities around our campuses.
The format is entirely up to you. Entries can be submitted as:
- A written article or story
- An audio piece or podcast
- A video
- A photo journal or visual essay
This is an opportunity to celebrate achievements, share inspiring stories and help raise awareness of the contributions that people with Global Majority heritage have made to our university and wider community. Plus student entries are eligible for a top prize of £300!
The competition will close on Friday 29 January 2027, with winners being announced on Friday 12 February followed by a presentation at Craiglockhart on Friday 19 Februrary.
