Lift replacement at Merchiston

Lift 4 (L4) at Merchiston Campus will be replaced from Tuesday 26 May to Monday 13 July. During this seven-week period, the lift will be out of service. Boarding will be installed to restrict access to the lift and the surrounding area.

Lift 4 connects:

• Level A (Triangle Restaurant)
• Level B – Lower (main entrance)
• Level B – Upper (Apex Café)

Alternative access

If you need lift access between Level A (Mardale Crescent) and Level B (main entrance), you can use Lift 39 (L39) in the Music Block.

Routes to L39 will be clearly signposted inside and outside the building. You may need your staff card to access some doors along the route.

Access to the Triangle Restaurant

The Triangle Restaurant will remain open throughout the works. Access will be via an external door facing the lower quadrangle, with signage in place to guide you.

Please note that toilet facilities will not be directly accessible from the restaurant during this time. The nearest facilities will be inside the main campus building.
