Meningitis B vaccine clinic at Sighthill
A new Meningitis B vaccination programme is launching this summer to help protect students and young people at higher risk, with a drop-in clinic running at Sighthill campus during Welcome Week.
The drop-in clinic will be open 9am-4pm from Monday 7 - Friday 11 September in Room 0.C.35 Sighthill campus (the simulation & clinical skills centre).
The MenB vaccine will be offered to:
- Young people born between 1 March 2008 and 28 February 2009, and any others who were in S6 during the 2025-26 academic year.
- Undergraduate university entrants under the age of 25 who are starting for the first time in the academic year 2026-27, including international students.
- College entrants under 25 starting for the first time in the academic year 2026-27 while living away from home in shared student accommodation, including international
If you're eligible, please take up the offer of the MenB vaccine and make sure you get both doses for full protection. Even if you've had the MenACWY vaccine, you can still be at risk from MenB.
You'll also be able to catch up on any vaccinations you've missed, so please check your vaccination history before arriving at University and bring any records of vaccines you have previously received. Having these records available will help the NHS clinicians review your history and ensure you are protected.
NHS Lothian is also running other vaccination clinics across Edinburgh and the Lothians - check the website for details of where and when the clinics take place.
