New returnable cup scheme at Sighthill

As part of our commitment to cutting single‑use waste, we've partnered with Cauli to offer a tap & go returnable cup scheme at Sighthill campus, with Craiglockhart and Merchiston joining in 2027.

CauliCups have the potential to reduce Edinburgh Napier's CO2 footprint from single-use paper cups by 94% over their lifecycle of 400 uses, significantly reducing the volume of landfill waste at the same time.

To encourage returnable cup use, the following discounts and charges will be in place at Sighthill campus from Monday 7 September:

• Bring your own cup - 25p discount on your drink
• Use a Cauli returnable cup - no charge or discount (£5 late return fee applies)
• Use a single-use paper cup - 50p disposable cup charge

If you are bringing your own cup, please ensure it is clean or pre-rinsed before visiting the coffee point. The catering team are unable to rinse or clean personal reusable cups.
