Wellbeing and Inclusion

The Student Wellbeing and Inclusion team is here to help you make the most of your time here at Edinburgh Napier - so you feel safe, supported, healthy and able to fulfil your potential.

As a result of government guidance relating to Covid-19, in particular the guidance about the need to implement social distancing, we have paused face to face services.

However, all of our services continue and are now delivered though other approaches - these include:

  • Responding by email to queries or requests for support
  • Continued administration of emailed/online applications for discretionary and other sources of funding
  • Continued support in relation to learning adjustments
  • Delivering wellbeing support over the telephone or via online video channels
  • Directing you to other sources of support such as Togetherall ( previously known as Big White Wall)  and to our Shelf Help resources.

Safeguarding Policy and Support Framework

The protection of members of the University community from harm and abuse is a key priority for Edinburgh Napier University. The University recognises its duty of care and is committed to providing a safe and protected environment for all its students and staff. The policies, procedures and support arrangements which protect and safeguard the University community and particularly children and vulnerable adults from harm and abuse are set out in the following Safeguarding Policy and Support guide which captures and describes the University’s safeguarding policy and support framework.

Counselling and Mental Wellbeing

The Student Counselling & Mental Wellbeing team offers a range of support and advice for students who are experiencing stress, anxiety or other mental health issues due to personal circumstances or academic pressures.

Remember to ask for help if you need it. It’s better to do this as soon as you realise things are getting difficult. We are an approachable team and we want you to feel supported as we know it can make a real difference.
