Results and Progression

Your programme Moodle page will provide you with details of your programme structure, with the modules you will need to study each year. This will include any compulsory or optional modules (where applicable).  Your Programme Leader or your Personal Development Tutor can offer advice with any questions you may have related to this.

The University assesses your progress at various points in the academic year, via Programme Assessment Board (PAB) meetings. PABs are responsible for reviewing and confirming the marks you have achieved, and for making decisions about your academic performance, such as determining if you have passed or failed a module; if you need to undertake reassessment; whether you can continue your programme of study; and what your final award will be.

In addition to your programme leader and other academic staff, there is normally an external examiner present at the PAB meetings (from another UK University) who provides feedback to teaching staff on overall module content; module performance as well as reviewing a sample of the assessments.  Further information on the role of Programme Assessment Boards can be found in the Academic Regulations.

Following the PABs each year your results will be published via your E-Student Record, which holds your official record of achievement.
