The Student Funding team is here to help you if you are experiencing financial difficulties. We can help you to set a realistic budget and, if eligible, access extra funding that may be available to you. We hope that by introducing you to our team, it will help encourage you to take the step to get in touch and get the support you may need.
How to access our service
Details of our services can be found on the Money pages of My Napier . We are available to help students across all three of our campuses (Merchiston, Craiglockhart, and Sighthill), you can book an appointment with a Student Funding Advisor via My Future.
Letitia Friary - Student Funding Team Leader
My role involves leading the Student Funding team to provide support to students who need help with their finances. Whether it is budgeting, managing debts or accessing available funding.
Lee Chalmers - Student Funding Adviser
My role is to give practical support and guidance to students experiencing money worries or financial hardship, and with general help with navigating the funding options available to them. I give budgeting help and suggest ways students can maximise income and make the most of their money and I assess funding applications for students who are experiencing financial hardship.
Our team offer one-to-one confidential appointments in person, on Teams, phone or email. We strive to provide an outstanding, professional and non-judgemental service to students, sign posting on to other internal/external agencies when necessary.
Katrina Lindsay - Student Funding Adviser
My role as a Student Funding Adviser involves helping students who have money worries or are facing financial hardship.
I can assist with applying for additional funding and creating and setting a budget. We offer one to one funding appointments which can be booked via My Future.
David Cockell - Student Funding Advisor
I am an advisor within the Student Funding team, I am here to help you on your journey to getting your degree at Edinburgh Napier University by offering funding advice and help with funding applications.
Claire Donnelly - Student Funding Administrator
My role in Student Funding is to support students who are looking for financial support, offering them information and access to sources of extra funding such as the Discretionary Fund, Childcare Fund, Nursing and Midwifery Discretionary Fund, and a number of internally and externally funded scholarships and bursaries.
