We can’t wait to welcome you to Edinburgh Napier – we hope you’re as excited as we are!Registering at the University
Registration is the formal process where you register as a student with Edinburgh Napier. Before you start at the University, you'll need to complete this online.
We'll send you an email in December/January to your personal email account which will ask you to create your Edinburgh Napier password and set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all of our IT and Library Services. Once you've done this, you'll be able to access the link to fully register as a student online.

Check In
If you are studying on one of our Undergraduate or Taught Postgraduate degrees, you must check in via the Edinburgh Napier app to confirm your attendance for any timetabled learning event, regardless of whether it is taking place on-campus, at one of our other teaching venues, or online.IT and Library Getting Started
If you've just started at the University you'll need to know how to access and use our IT and Library Services whether you’re based on or off campus.
Before you go any further you should work through the Introduction to Computing and Library Services. This is a Moodle module which provides information about our Library and IT Services.
Preparing for study at Edinburgh Napier University
As we come to University with a range of different experiences, it is important to understand what is expected here and now. Whether studying at university is completely new to you, you are a ‘returner’, coming from college, or beginning Postgraduate study with us, the Academic Skills service helps you prepare.
- As soon as you have registered, you should view our 'Tackling Assignments' series of short videos on the skills and process required to tackle University assignments in the UK.
- All new students must also watch and pay particular care to our Academic Integrity induction video.
Get Involved With ENSA
Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association (ENSA) is your students’ union. ENSA organises lots of activities and events for students throughout term, starting with Welcome Back Week in January.They also support all of the sports clubs and societies at the University, which are a great way to make new friends with similar interests!
