Electric vehicle charging now available at Sighthill

We're delighted to share that ten new 7kW electric vehicle (EV) charging points are now available for use at Sighthill campus. Installation of the new units is one of many commitments embedded within our Environmental Sustainability Strategy.

You can access the charging points using a ChargePlace Scotland account card. However, in the near future the units will also be able to accept debit and credit cards.

The financial charge for use of all units throughout the University is £0.45/kWh with a minimum charge of £1.50 per connection. The charging bays can only be used by vehicles that are actively charging and we ask that you please consider all other users and only use a bay and unit when required.

While the charging points are available for anyone to use, please note that parking restrictions continue to apply in the rest of the car park, which is for permit holders only between 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday.

We are currently investigating opportunities for further charging units, including units at Craiglockhart and Merchiston.

If you have any queries relating to use of the units, please contact environment@napier.ac.uk
