Nursing students - we want to hear your views on our service

The Student Counselling and Mental Wellbeing Service are reaching out to nursing students who would be willing to speak with us in an in-person focus group about the visibility and accessibility of our service. We want to know what we can do better to provide a helpful and easy to access counselling service to all our students.

This group will be run on Friday 14 June at 11.30am at Sighthill Campus, Room 6.B.16, and will be 90 minutes in length. There is no pressure to answer any particular questions or speak to any topics, and we will send our questions to you before the group so you have time to prepare. The content of the group discussions will be used to improve our service and not for any other purpose, and your input will be confidential outside of the group.

If you would like to be part of this small focus group (maximum 10 students) run by our Clinical Lead Counsellor and Pastoral Support Advisor, please contact us by emailing counselling@napier.ac.uk.

As a thank you for taking part, we will be providing a delicious lunch, including a selection of sandwiches (vegan options included) tea, coffee, fruit juice and biscuits.

We have decided to invite nursing students to this focus group as we know that nurses may face additional challenges in contacting our service. This is one of a series of focus groups which will reach out to other groups within the student population later in the year.

If you are interested in taking part or would like to know more, please contact us at counselling@napier.ac.uk.
