Sighthill campus closure on Friday 25 July

Scottish Power has informed the University of essential maintenance on the power supply to Sighthill campus, scheduled for Friday 25 July. As a result, Sighthill will be fully closed for the day, with no access permitted at any time. This includes brief entry to collect items or equipment.

The building is likely to remain closed until Saturday 26 July at 12pm, while our teams complete safety checks and ensure all systems are fully restored.

What you need to know

• Any planned teaching activities on campus will either be rescheduled or delivered remotely - please check with your Programme Leader.
• If you can study from home, another campus or other suitable location, you're encouraged to do so.

Frequently asked questions

Can I access the building briefly?

No – Sighthill will be completely inaccessible on the day of the maintenance.

Will IT systems be affected?

All systems will be checked once power is restored. Any issues will be communicated promptly.

Will student services or teaching be affected?

Please check with your Programme Leader about the relocating or rescheduling of any planned activities.
