Women's Safety in Public Spaces Survey

Following on from the recent high-profile case of violence against women, Edinburgh’s Women’s Safety in Public Places Community Improvement Partnership want your views on what makes you feel safe or unsafe when out and about in public spaces.

Where do you feel safe or unsafe, and why? What do you think makes some areas and places feel safe or unsafe? What do you do to help make you feel safer?

While focused mainly on the safety of women and girls, the partnership want to hear from anyone who lives in or visits the Edinburgh area. They recognise that making spaces safer for women, makes them safer for everyone.

Your responses will help to inform the future of how the partnership develops and improves public spaces across the whole of the Edinburgh area, from the design of roads and pathways to the layout of parks and shopping areas and more.

The consultation is open until 20 September 2022. The partnership will report on findings later in 2022.

Take part in the survey.
