Jack Kilby Computing Centre – temporary closure for essential works
To allow for essential floor maintenance the Jack Kilby Computing Centre (JKCC) will be closed from Monday 28 July 2025.
Access will not be possible for students wishing to borrow a lapsafe laptop. Any returns of already loaned laptops will need to be taken to the Library Helpdesk.
There will continue to be face-to-face IT support available from the IS Student Helpers in the Merchiston library (close to the main desk in Zone 1) for any technical enquiries or issues, together with 24/7 access to computer facilities.
Alternative computer facilities are also available within specialised labs or the Craiglockhart and Sighthill campuses.
