Scheduled inspections at Merchiston Library

From Thursday 21 August to Tuesday 26 August (inclusive), Property & Facilities will carry out scheduled inspections in line with the University’s Asbestos Management Plan.

These inspections will affect designated areas within Merchiston Library (L1B – Library Zones 2 to 5) and the SCEBE Workshop / Corridor Areas (AC08, A24, A25, B68a, B68b, B18).

During this period:

• There will be no access to the affected areas – for staff or teaching.
• There will be no access to library stock – however, our Click and Collect service will be available for requested items.
• Group Study Rooms will be closed, except Room 8, which will remain open.

Services and spaces still available:

• Craiglockhart and Sighthill libraries will be open as normal.
• MER E32 will be available during this period.
• Zone 1 will remain open 24/7.
• The Help Desk will be open as usual for enquiries and support.
