Searching the internet
There's an enormous amount of academic information online. However it's not always easy to find exactly the information you need for your study or research.Finding information online
Most of the journals purchased by the library are available online, but note that many of these will not be found by using Google or other search engines - you need to use LibrarySearch or a subscription database.
You can set up Google Scholar to link with paid-for Edinburgh Napier University journals (see 'Using Google Scholar' below), but be aware that sometimes it's unable to detect that Edinburgh Napier University has access to a particular journal.
If you want to see if the Library has a particular journal - go to LibrarySearch, click on Journal Search and type in the name of the journal.
Remember when you're searching that anyone can publish information on the web and there's often very little quality control.

- Subject Guides have links to the best online resources for your subject.
