Summer Graduations

Due to ongoing uncertainty caused by the pandemic we have been unable to host our usual ceremonies in the Usher Hall in July 2021. Although there has been positive news from the Scottish Government recently around opening up more of society, mass gatherings on this scale are not permitted.

Like other universities across Scotland, we have therefore made the difficult decision to cancel our ceremonies.

Graduation photographs

We are delighted to be able to offer you the chance to come on to campus with guests to have your photograph taken in a graduation gown. This will take place between Tuesday 3 August and Saturday 7 August inclusive, at our Craiglockhart campus.

Slots will be available on a first come, first served basis and will be run in line with any government restrictions at the time.

You can book your slot using the Ede & Ravenscroft website. The cost for gown hire, the basic photography package, and P&P will be £55. Enhanced packages are also available.

While there will be no ceremony, we want to shout about our students’ success. We want to make graduation memorable despite the challenging circumstances we all continue to face.

So, while we cannot get you up onto the Usher Hall stage, we will be celebrating in style this July and we will share the full details nearer the time. We don’t want to say too much at this point and ruin the surprise, but suffice to say, our students’ name will most definitely be out there.

The application process for July 2021 has now closed. If you are eligible to graduate in October 2021, we will be in touch in September. Any other questions, please email graduations@napier.ac.uk

Publication of results date is Wednesday 30 June and you will receive further information regarding the virtual celebration on that date.

Please note that there is no option to defer your graduation to a later date.

Beyond this summer, when restrictions are lifted, we hope to give you the opportunity for photographs on campus and for a class of 2021 reunion where you will be able to celebrate with your classmates.
